Junior high teacher sued for making students draw on each others' genitalia

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The Humanistic Education Foundation yesterday sued a junior high school teacher for forcing students to draw elephants on the genitalia as punishment for those who violated rules.

Humanistic Education Foundation's Kaohsiung Office Director Chang Ping (張萍) went to the Tainan District Prosecutors Office to sue a section chief of physical education who is suspected of being involved in public indecency.

Chang said that the foundation received complaints from a student's parents, saying that the section chief forbid students who played for the school's tennis team from dating.

According to Chang, at least two students' genitalia were painted with elephants by their fellow teammates, and the teacher demanded that students keep the punishment a secret.

Chang said that even though the section chief received two minor demerits as punishment for this incident, he should be fired for what he did and the Ministry of Education should also look into this incident.

“The students whose genitalia were painted are not the only victims in this incident,” said Chang. “Those students who were instructed to carry out this punishment are also traumatized by what their teacher asked them to do.”

According to Chang, students were firmly told not to disclose this punishment to others, or they would be removed from the tennis team and their grades would be affected as well, which is why many students chose to conceal what happened.

Chang hopes that prosecutors will investigate this case further and hand out punishments to the teacher who mentally traumatized those students with his behaviors.

According to the school, the investigation into this incident has already finished and the teacher was punished for what happened, so this incident should come to an end.

Two demerits for such a twisted crime. I say throw him in jail and fire him and remove his teaching pension. I would sue the teacher, school and education district if I were one of the students' parents.

Quite agree with all of these punishments. I would also call for a "3rd" party investigation into the school teaching system in which such an act like this would be allowed to happen.
This is unthinkably sick behaviour towards children. How was something such as this allowed to even be thought of as acceptable by this sick deviant person?
Public trial and public punishment - Nothing less!

Schools are trusted to act 'en loco parentis' (in the parents place) and are to be the protectors as well as the educators of the children entrusted to them. This school has failed in honoring this trust....failed badly.
