Kaohsiung encouraged to use waterfront access
CNAKAOHSIUNG -- The port city of Kaohsiung in southern Taiwan could take advantage of its easy waterfront access to further brand itself as a city that is both environmentally friendly and open to the world, the deputy mayor of the French city of Bordeaux said yesterday.

“You have all the ingredients,” said Sylvie Cazes, referring to Kaohsiung's water area and related facilities that could be integrated to make it appealing to both tourists and investors.
Bordeaux, which is also a port city, has launched numerous projects to tout its natural and historic resources, Cazes said during the Asia-Pacific Cities Summit in Kaohsiung.
