Moderate 4.1 earthquake hits southern TaiwanCNA KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan -- An earthquake measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale shook Kaohsiung County in southern Taiwan yesterday, but no immediate damage was reported, the Central Weather Bureau said.

The temblor may have been an aftershock of a powerful 6.4 magnitude earthquake that hit Jiashian township March 4, according to Kuo Kai-wen, director of the Central Weather Bureau's Seismology Center.
