Industrial developments have then been affected over the few past years, Chen said in a meeting with Chu Yao-kuang, the new director of the airport. To improve the current problems, Chen urged more international flight routes between the city and the nation's major trading countries, such as the U.S., Japan and China, and more national flights between Taipei and the city. In addition, she also expected to establish an exports verification center for international flights in order to benefit southern enterprises and residents. The city government will make every effort to improve the KIA's infrastructure in an attempt to raise its passenger and goods traffic, which will enhance developments for local industries and tourism, Chen added. The airport will cooperate with the city government, aiming to bring KIA a promising future with good services for the public, Chu emphasized. Subscribe to The China Post and save 25%. Click here |
