The winner was a man in his 30s and of a slightly skinny build, Lee told the Apple Daily. As the ticket was one of the last few purchased, Lee said he recognized the winning combination. Lee added that he was in disbelief when he was notified by Taiwan Lottery Co. of the win, adding that his store was only in its 26th day of operation at the time of the draw. According to another lottery ticket proprietor based in Taipei City, ticket sales for the most recent Super Lotto pot saw a 30 percent increase from that of the previous round, propelled by buyers looking for a piece of the reward, wrote the paper. The highest recorded win took place Oct. 2008, with the winner raking in NT$1.96 billion. The second highest jackpot, announced last July, amounted to NT$983 million.
