Policeman finds his dog after eight months

The dog, belonging to police officer Chen Yu-ren of the National Police Agency's Special Police Second Headquarters, is a mixed breed terrier named Lucy. She ran away from a group of stray dogs chasing her as Chen walked her along a trail at ChaiShan this past March. Chen discovered Lucy crossing the road at Long-hua police station, also in Kaohsiung, about a month ago.

“I only called her name twice, then she remembered me and barked,” Chen said.

Lucy's owner believes the dog can recognize policemen and their vehicles, because he often brings her along on his duties. After Lucy ran away from Chen, she followed a Long-hua policeman's motorcycle back to his station.
