Yilan gov't to get NT$6 mil. from lottery winners

YILAN, Taiwan -- The Yilan County government's education department received NT$6 million from two lottery winners, and will be using the money to implement its program to help children and youths from disadvantaged segments of society.

One winner won NT$400 million on March 2 this year, and will be donating NT$5 million. The second winner will be donating NT$1 million after winning the lottery on 28 December 2007. The latter winner had already previously donated NT$10 million. The Taiwan Lottery Company and the Yilan County Government will be jointly holding a press conference on July 17 to celebrate the donations.
