Hualien to rock for fifteen days and nights

HUALIEN, Taiwan -- The Pacific International Sightseeing Festival 2010 kicks off tomorrow.

Top Taiwanese bands and singers will perform in Hualien Creative & Cultural Park (花蓮光華樂活創意園區) from tomorrow until Feb. 12. Saturday's official opening ceremony will be broadcast live in Taiwan

It has invited Mayday (五月天), S.H.E, Fahrenheit (飛輪海), Power Station (動力火車), F.I.R, Lollipop (棒棒堂), Jam Hsiao (蕭敬騰), Show Luo (羅志祥), Elva Hsiao (蕭亞軒), Rainie Yang (楊丞琳) and many others. There will be 15 concerts and 15 fireworks display shows during the 15-day event.

“I wish the biggest music event in Asia would attract tens of millions of people to Hualien,” said Fu Kun-chi, magistrate of Hualien County. “So that more people could understand the rich Hualien culture, and to help promote our tourism and cultural industry.”
