He stuffed NT$60,000 in cash, Lin's cell phone and other items into a big suitcase, and then left the pair of red”lucky”boxer shorts at Lin's place. He broke into Lin's studio for the second time last Saturday, ate a pack of nougat candies Lin bought for his daughter, took back the undergarment and left. Lin called the police but was not satisfied with the progress of their investigation. He looked through the surveillance videos and found that the thief looked familiar. At midnight on Sunday, Lin decided to take a drive in his car to search for the thief. Lin found a man on the street within 100 meters from his studio who had a similar appearance to the thief on the tapes. He stalked the suspected thief for an hour, then called the police to come arrest him. The thief was determined to be Peng, who Lin interviewed when Peng was still the owner of a tea factory. Peng was the son of a town mayor. He inherited his father's tea factory after his father died. However, he did not manage it well and the factory closed down.
