NIA stages a pre-festival event for new immigrants

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- The National Immigration Agency (NIA) is hosting an event tonight in Ximending for new immigrants ahead of Mid-Autumn Festival.

The event runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. in front of Eslite's Wuchang branch, which is located on the intersection of Wuchang St. and Kunming St.

The event serves to further promote multiculturalism in Taiwan, as well as government policies related to counseling, employment and anti-human trafficking.

A total of 600 boxes of mooncakes provided by I-Mei Foods will be shared with participants.
