Japan's HKT48 plan their 1st local concert for Dec.

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Japan's all-female idol group HKT48 is set to hold its first concert in Taiwan in December.

The concert will be held at the ATT Show Box in Taipei on Dec. 7, members of the group announced Monday at a press conference in Taipei.

The group, a sister group of the popular AKB48 idol group, was created in 2011 by Japanese record producer Yasushi Akimoto, who also produced the AKB48 franchise.

Anai Chihiro, one of three HKT48 members visiting Taiwan, said she was very excited about the Taipei concert.

Another member, Moriyasu Madoka, would not divulge details about the December concert but said fans can look forward to a good show. The three HKT48 members, who also included Kodama Haruka, also greeted over 200 local fans at a fan meeting in Taipei on Monday.
