Taiwan overseas envoys sworn in during ceremony

TAIPEI -- Taiwan's new representatives to Hungary and Canada and its new ambassadors to Belize and Nauru were sworn in during a ceremony presided over by President Ma Ying-jeou on Monday, according to a Presidential Office statement.
Tao Wen-lung (陶文隆), secretary-general of the government-funded International Cooperation and Development Fund (TaiwanICDF), is the new representative to Hungary, and Bruce Linghu (令狐榮達), the departing director-general of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles, is Taiwan's new top envoy to Canada, the statement said.
Benjamin Ho (何登煌), director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of East Asian and Pacific Affairs, will become Taiwan's ambassador to Belize, and Joseph Chow (周進發) will take over as ambassador to Nauru after leaving his previous post as the head of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Sydney, the statement said.
They will formally take up their new posts in the coming weeks.
