TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras -- President Ma Ying-jeou said in Honduras that Taiwan is doing what it can to help its diplomatic allies in Africa realize that Taiwan's existence is an asset rather than a liability.
He said that although Taiwan only has three diplomatic allies in Africa left, "we are doing what we can do."
"As long as we continue our efforts and help them solve problems, and they are willing to continue to maintain relations with the Republic of China, we've achieved our diplomatic end," the president said to reporters traveling with him on his diplomatic trip.
