Ten Taiwanese tourists were injured in a traffic accident in Seoul, South Korea Saturday, with one sustaining serious head injury, according to the Tourism Bureau.
The seriously injured was identified as Tseng Hua-ta, a 10-year-old boy who received treatment at a hospital intensive care unit, the bureau said.
The boy's condition later stabilized. He had left the ICU but will remain in South Korea for further treatment, the bureau said yesterday.
Nine other tourists sustained minor injuries, with six having returned to a hotel after receiving treatment at various hospitals, the bureau said on Saturday.
The 25-member tour group, organized by Taipei-based Gloria Travel Service Co., departed for South Korea Dec. 12 and is scheduled to return Dec. 16.
