During a break in the meeting, ICAO Council President Roberto Kobeh Gonzalez walked over to Civil Aeronautics Administration Director-General Shen Chi and shook hands with her, expressing his welcome to Shen's participation.
On her part, Shen extended her appreciation to Kobeh for inviting her to attend the meeting.
Shen was also greeted by representatives of many ICAO members, who said they were happy to see Taiwan's participation in this year's meeting.
Shen is attending the event as a special guest of Kobeh, under the designation “Chinese Taipei,” the name Taiwan uses when taking part in international events.
