EPA says air set to worsen in South, Central Taiwan

TAIPEI--Poor air quality is expected in Central and Southern Taiwan in the next few days as strong seasonal winds from the northeast sweep across the island, the Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) said yesterday.

The winds are likely to stir up dust and raise the concentration of small particles in the air to over 200 microgram per cubic meter, about four times higher than usual, according to the EPA.
