Updated Friday, July 4, 2008 0:00 am TWN, By Brian Asmus, Special to the China Post Independence Day Party at the American Club: ACC“This is going to be a great opportunity for families with children to hang out at a fun, easy-going BBQ,” said ACC General Manager Greg Hartigan. “We have just finished a number of important redesign projects at the Club. Those who have not been up here for a while are going to be amazed at the new look.” From 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., families with children are invited to attend a variety of aquatic activities. Then, from 5:30 p.m. onward, the ACC is serving up a load of American food, including hamburgers, hot dogs and steaks along with all the trimmings. Anyone attending is welcome to stay after the BBQ either by the pool or in other ACC venues. While everyone is welcome to attend, reservations must be made in advance. For security reasons, the organizers cannot accept walk-ins. In addition, parking is limited to only ACC members. Non-ACC members who do wish to drive may park at the Radio Taiwan Station parking lot right next to the Club. Please drive into the Club parking lot to pick up a temporary parking sticker from the Club security and then drive next door to park your car.
