The Institute for Information Industry (III) recently dispatched a business team to visit countries in the Middle East, and signed contracts with institutions in Kuwait and Oman to further bilateral cooperation.
Under the guidance of the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the III led local academics as well as businesses from the information and communication technology (ICT) industry to the Middle East, in an effort to explore more business opportunities in the region.
The trip has also fostered partnership between Kuwait National Technology Enterprises Company and Taiwan software and ICT players as well as major research institutions. Three cooperation proposals and one agreement between the two nations were signed, which are equivalent to NT$30 million worth of foreign orders, the III said.
