Taiwan provides aid to Syrian refugees in JordanCNA TAIPEI, Taiwan --Taiwan has extended a helping hand to Syrian refugees who have flocked to Jordan to escape the civil war in their own country, including donations of ambulances and temporary housing, a Taiwanese foreign affairs official said yesterday.
March 8, 2013, 12:16 am TWN Taiwan has donated two ambulances to help Jordan take care of the refugees at the request of the Jordanian government, said Teng Sheng-ping, assistant director-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Department of West Asian and African Affairs, at a regular news briefing. The ministry also donated 50 temporary housing units worth US$110,000, Teng added.
