Bus collision at Foxconn plant kills 7 & injures 20
The China Post news staffTAIPEI, Taiwan -- Two buses of the Foxconn Technology Group 's Zhengzhou factory complex in Henan province, north-central China collided yesterday morning, leaving seven employees dead and 20 injured, a spokesman of Hon Hai Group, Foxconn's affiliate in Taiwan, confirmed last night.

The spokesman said that Foxconn's insurance, legal affairs and labor union representatives rushed to the accident site to handle related issues, adding that all the injured were rushed to hospitals for emergency medical treatment.
According to mainland Chinese media, the accident occurred at 8:40 a.m. Thursday, when a bus bearing Foxconn's Chinese characters “富士康”and carrying employees from the dormitory to the plant hit another Foxconn bus, turning upside down and leaving seven dead on the spot and 20 injured.
Foxconn's factory in Zhengzhou was opened in 2010 as the main manufacturing base for Apple iPhones, and it has already reached a daily production of 200,000 handsets.
