MOFA welcomes young leaders for int'l study campThe China Post Staff The China Post Staff--Youth leaders from Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand will take part in the 2012 Taiwan Study Camp (TSC), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced yesterday.
October 31, 2012, 12:02 am TWN A first contingent from Japan finished their camp on Oct. 26. The 35 members consisted of councilor assistants from two Japanese political parties, local councilors and college students. Camps for South Korean, Australian and New Zealand youths will be taking place from Nov. 11 to Nov. 28. A second contingent of Japanese youths will be arriving on Dec. 10. Government officials, councilor assistants, media and business representatives, and student leaders have all been invited. TSCs were first held in 2010 with the goal of helping youths from other countries further understand Taiwanese culture. The hope is to build substantial and amicable relationships between Taiwan and these respective countries.
