Tuvalu's education MP to visit Taiwan this JulyThe China Post news staff The China Post news staff--An education minister of Taiwan's Pacific ally Tuvalu will be visiting Taiwan next month for a five-day tour, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said yesterday.
June 27, 2012, 12:16 am TWN Falesa Pitoi, the Minister for Education, Youth, and Sport of Tuvalu, will be accompanied by his secretary Tieni Iona during their stay in Taiwan from July 3 to 8 to promote cross-cultural exchange, the MOFA said in a statement. Throughout the five days, Pitoi will visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the National Taiwan Normal University, Tamkang University, Taipei Municipal Bin Jiang Elementary School, and Yuhang Public Kindergarten, it added. They will also be treated to Taiwan's cultural trademark locations such as the National Museum of Natural Science, the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, and the famous tourism destination of Sun Moon Lake.
