Nudist who posted pictures on Net to face 5 years in jail

Officials at the Criminal Investigation Division of the Taipei City Police Department searched his home and confiscated computer equipment and a batch of nuke pictures at his home after tracking him for about a month.

The engineer surnamed Chu said he posted his own nude photos in the cyberspace for fun without engaging in any sexual or business transactions.

Chu, 30, started posting his nude photos on various Web sites on the Internet in 2000. After studying a couple of years in the United States, he returned to Taiwan and set up his own Web site, which has been hit with about one million visits.

The exhibitionist called himself “Cum Cruise” and claimed on his “cumcruise.com” Web site that he is building the “most colorful gay culture that will make the world Chinese community proud of.”

The photos of the globe trotting exhibitionist have a wide range of backgrounds, including famous scenic spots and five-star hotels in Taiwan as well as well-known campuses abroad and large cities like Vienna and Venice.

Police said Chu will face imprisonment of up to five years for public indecent exposure and abusing decent customs and culture in accordance with the nation’s law.
