Nearly 100 fishermen from central Taiwan's Changhua County held a sit-in protest against the fourth stage of construction of the Central Taiwan Science Park (CTSP) Friday, claiming that the construction will cause serious pollution of some of Taiwan's most important aquaculture areas and fishing grounds.
A female candidate for Changhua County councilor was reportedly to have become a victim of sex extortion. The suspect, surnamed Hung, was accused of extorting the unnamed candidate to force her out of the upcoming election, using her naked photos taken after he raped her.
