Welcome to Daxi Culture Festival
In 1917, the sixth year of the reign of Japanese Emperor Taishō, the Tongren Society (同人社) built the first palanquin to thank His Holiness Emperor Guan (關聖帝君) -- also known as Guan Gong (關公) -- for his blessings. People in Daxi (大溪) held the first procession for Guan Gong's birthday on the 24th day of the sixth lunar month in the same year.
 
Breaking: 26 dead in tour bus blaze
