Nantou marks festival with 19-ton rice cake
Nantou County's Mingchien Township and Shoutien Temple (受天宮) celebrated the Lantern Festival yesterday by unveiling a giant, peach-shaped sticky rice cake (米糕桃), weighing over 19 tons.

28,000 get wet in Sun Moon Lake Swim
The annual Sun Moon Lake Swim kicked off yesterday, drawing some 28,000 participants in this year's event. Competitors swam from one end of the lake to the other.
