Chiayi City Deputy Mayor Hou Chong-wen (侯崇文) promoted online registration of food products at the Chia-Le-Fu Night Market (嘉樂福夜市) to raise awareness of food safety and sanitation, reported the Central News Agency on Thursday.

Twenty-six stray dogs died from heat stress while being transported by the Chiayi County Government to a private animal shelter in Tainan on Monday.
