Turning threat into opportunity: Rural area schools explore multi-age teaching
In the rugged and hilly terrain of South Central Taiwan's Chiayi County, it is hard to imagine how vegetable gardens can be tended to yield the fresh tomatoes, cabbages and peppers that end up on local dinner tables.
 
The South Branch of the National Palace Museum (NPM) will reopen its main hall Aug. 23, following closure of the area since mid-April for work to repair water leaks in the glass wall of the building.

Chiayi City Deputy Mayor Hou Chong-wen (侯崇文) promoted online registration of food products at the Chia-Le-Fu Night Market (嘉樂福夜市) to raise awareness of food safety and sanitation, reported the Central News Agency on Thursday.
