60% of people support ECFAThe China Post news staff TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Six out of every ten people in Taiwan support an economic cooperation framework agreement (ECFA) with China, according to a Credit Lyonnais Securities poll.
June 2, 2009, 9:51 am TWN The survey shows 60 percent of the polled indicate support for the ECFA, similar to a free trade agreement. They want it to be signed between Taiwan and China. Another 50.8 percent majority of the respondents support President Ma Ying-jeou's policy of opening Taiwan to China, the CLS survey shows.
