TAIPEI--Hollywood star Will Smith and his actor son Jaden concluded a four-day visit to Taiwan Sunday and left for South Korea to continue promoting their latest film.
Before departing from Taipei International Airport on their private jet, Jaden approached the more-than 100 screaming and waving fans on a kick scooter, while his father also shook hands with the enthusiastic fans.
A fan from Kaohsiung, who only identified herself as Bess, said she had been following the Smiths around for the past four days and that when the elder Smith saw her at the premiere of their movie "After Earth," he recognized her.
Bess said she gave him a hand-written letter of more than 1,000 words, in which she detailed her admiration for his performances in previous movies, including "The Pursuit of Happyness" and "Seven Pounds."
"After Earth," set 1,000 years in the future, is the second film in which the father and son have appeared together.
They co-starred for the first time in the 2006 biographical drama "The Pursuit of Happyness," which was Jaden's film debut.
