'Seediq Bale' comic to be released in French version

PARIS -- The "Seediq Bale" comic by Taiwanese comic artist Chiu Row-long will soon be released in a French edition, an official of the company that will publish the book said Wednesday.

Dominique Veret, editorial director of the France-based Akata publishing house, confirmed that his company will translate the graphic novel into French.

The book will be launched during the 2013 Angouleme International Comics Festival, Veret said at the Planete Mangafestival featuring Asian comics that is currently taking place at the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
