The 2012 Arts Marketing Campaign, organized by the National Hsinchu Living Art Center (NHCLAC,國立新竹生活美學館), recently began the solicitation of creative paintings from nine cities and counties in northern Taiwan, according to a press release issued by the NHCLAC.
The solicitation runs from March 26 through April 30, with artworks, including Chinese traditional paintings and Western paintings, to be classified into several groups including elementary schools, junior high schools, senior high schools, and colleges and general society. Those who like to paint are welcome to forward their works to the NHCLAC before the deadline of April 30, no matter which group they belong to.
Those works chosen to win awards will be on display at the Armed Forces Cultural Center in Taipei from July 7-20. Such works will be up for auction at the same venue on July 22.
In addition, a “mobile gallery” bus of the outstanding paintings will go to several traditional markets and squares in northern Taiwan for display and sales.
