According to the German media, Lin's dance pieces evoke similar feelings as the movies directed by Taiwanese Ang Lee. Lin, who was born in Yilan and is currently based in Germany, said it means a lot to her to stage her work in Taiwan. “I am excited about presenting my work at home,” she said, adding that the piece made its world debut in Germany last November and will be staged in Asia for the first time when it opens in Taipei. Lin left Taiwan at the age of 15 to attend the Accademia Nazionale di Danza in Rome and later became a student of modern dance choreographer Pina Bausch. Her dance pieces have won rave reviews in Europe in recent years. Subscribe to The China Post and save 25%. Click here |
