CNA -- Visitors pose among newly blossomed lotus flowers in Taichung on Tuesday, June 28. Summer is the lotus season, and garden and flower enthusiasts have started flocking to Houli District's (后里) Zhongshe Flower Market (中社花市) to see lotus flowers in full bloom, blanketing a garden of 1,600 ping. According to officials, local residents of the surrounding Houli and Waipu District (外埔) are invited to enter the garden for free over its first week, starting July 1. And from July to September, visitors may purchase entrance tickets at half price.
