Convenient bike path open for cyclersThe new, 1.35-kilometer path in Taipei City called the “Beian Road Bicycle Path” connects the dots between the Miramar Entertainment Park of Dazhi, the new Neihu MRT line, Taipei Neihu Technology Park, Meiti Riverside Park and other residential areas and schools in what the DOT has deemed a “green loop.” According to DOT spokesperson Ro Hsiao-hsien, the bike-reserved path is laid with a 2-meter wide green spread to differentiate the path from car lanes. The DOT said that the opening of the path makes it easier and safer for people in the residential areas to reach the newly opened Neihu MRT both by foot or by bike. | |||||||||||||
