Grand Formosa Regent lights tallest indoor Christmas tree in Taipei

At a height of 42 feet, the tree stands three floors tall and is decorated with 27,000 lights, 2,600 ribbons, 5,000 gold and silver spheres, 1,500 golden pine cones, 2,100 poinsettias, and 1,000 Christmas angels and is valued at over NT$1 million.

In collaboration with SPEY Single Malt Whisky and the EeLin Model Agency, the hotel organized a catwalk show where Patina Lin and other supermodels from EeLin showed off custom-made evening gowns along with ten collector’s bottles of whisky from 1960 to 1969 which were auctioned off, with all proceeds donated to the Child Welfare League Foundation (CWLF).

The Taipei Philharmonic Children’s Choir was also present to perform Christmas carols and Santa Claus appeared for the festive event’s grand finale.

From now through Dec. 24, limited edition items from SPEY’s 1960s collection will be exhibited in the center court of azie.
