Divorced Chinese woman dies with two others in her room

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- A divorced Chinese woman and two others were found dead yesterday in her bedroom at a cargo transportation company in Chiayi, central Taiwan, according to local police.

The woman, Xu Jianchong, 34, worked as a handyman at the cargo transportation company after she was divorced from her Taiwanese husband four years ago, and lived alone in a room at the back of the company.

Her body was found lying on a sofa, with her underpants around her ankles while the two other deceased were lying on a bed and there were ashes of burned out charcoal in a lead bucket in the room, said police.

The police cited the owner of the company, identified only by his surname of Wu, as saying that the two other deceased were 32-year-old woman Chang Yu-hui , and Chang’s five-year-old boy child Chang Ting-wei. They came to visit Xu a couple of days ago and had since stayed with her.

The owner said he went to his company Sunday afternoon after a hiatus of two days and found Xu’s room was locked inside. He opened the door with a backup key and found the three bodies.

Police said they could not ruled out the possibility of foul play in the case.
