for a cultural exchange program with five local universities, a spokesman for National Chiayi University in southern Taiwan said Wednesday. The delegation concluded a three-day visit to National Chiayi University yesterday.
During their stay in Chiayi, the Chinese students and teachers visited several tourist spots in Chiayi County, including Alishan, in addition to various university facilities.
Members of the delegation also attended a seminar held Wednesday at Chiayi University, with students of both sides exchanging views on the cultural and tourist differences between the two sides of Taiwan Strait.
Prior to its visit to Chiayi University, the delegation had visited National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei, as well as Feng Chia University and National Taichung University in central Taiwan.
The Chinese students, who arrived in Taiwan Oct. 9, were scheduled to proceed to National Kaohsiung Normal University in southern Taiwan and to leave Taiwan Oct. 21.
