Comic to feature Taiwan's outstanding people

Stan Shih, founder of the Acer Group and also chairman of the union of winners of an annual award for outstanding young persons, encouraged Tsai to promote good values through his comics, Tsai said.

According to Tsai, his comic strips introducing nearly 80 outstanding individuals will first be published in newspapers or on the Internet, and will then collect the strips and publish them in book form.

The author of the well-known and best-selling comic books “The Words of Chuangtzu” and “The Words of Laotzu, “ Tsai is also highly regarded in the cultural and creative industries.

Emphasizing the importance of the development of Taiwan’s cultural and creative industries, Tsai pointed out that although about 70 percent of the world’s animation production is made in Taiwan, personnel in this field do not receive further training for their future development.

In order to nurture talent in the field, Tsai also lectures in a graduate program on digital content at National Taiwan Normal University and at the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology.

He expressed hope that this provide a better future in the field for talented people.
