Noise complaints on the decline: EPADuring the period, the number of noise complaints decreased by 727 as compared with the same period of last year, the official said. The decrease could be partly attributed to the administration’s success in helping 121 businesses cope with the problems of noise made by their equipment and facilities, the official said. Among those businesses, the official said, entertainment shops accounted for 66 percent, followed by factories at 25 percent and engineering construction companies at 2 percent. In the past few years, reported noise complaints have risen significantly with an annual growth rate of 10 percent, according to the official. The administration suggested that businesses with noise problems file applications with the administration to seek professional help for noise reduction, the official noted. | |||||||||||||
