Two arrested in fake modeling agency scamThe Taipei District Prosecutors Office on Monday cracked down on the entire operation and arrested the men, Chou Tai-lun and Lin Shih-chieh. Criminal Investigation Bureau operatives were tipped off about the case by one of the victims in August of this year. The CIB with the collaboration of the Taipei District Prosecutors Office then tracked down the suspects and their modeling agencies located in the Roosevelt Road area of Taipei City. According to police, Chou and Lin last year registered two false modeling agencies and posted ads looking for models to star in commercials and soap operas. One of the women even engaged in group sex with some of the men nearly 50 times. The sex sessions were usually photographed as well. A variety of sex toys were used during the photo sessions, said police. If any of the women complained, she was blackmailed with the nude photos and forced into having sex with the men. The fraud operation was even able to recruit a total of 18 paying members whose membership gave them the opportunity to be “photographers” during the racy photo sessions, reported the Apple Daily. Police said the “photographers” came from a variety of backgrounds, and even included a veterinarian. The members were charged a fee of between NT$3,000 to NT$8,000 for the sexual services. | |||||||||||||
