Funeral service for Father George Massin to be held on Oct. 13

YUNLIN, Taiwan -- A funeral service for Reverend Father George Massin will be held on Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the Catholic Church in Huwei, Yunlin County. Reverend Massin was born in Belgium on Sep. 2, 1916, moved to Taiwan in the 1950s and started the St Joseph Hospital in Huwei.

In 1955, the dispensary grew into a 485-bed regional hospital. He passed away on Oct. 2, 2007 after a long illness.
