DPP hopeful meets AIT director Stephen Young

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- Frank Hsieh, Democratic Progressive Party candidate for president, met American Institute in Taiwan director Stephen Young at his campaign office yesterday.

Hsieh refused to say what he talked about with the top U.S. diplomat in Taipei.

One topic might be the DPP national congress scheduled for Sunday, where its “normal nation resolution” is to be adopted.

Washington considers the resolution part of a move to unilaterally change the status quo across the Taiwan Strait.
