he Taichung World Trade Center and is expected to attract more than 30,000 visitors during four days of exhibition. Lin Po-rung, chairman of the Taichung World Trade Center and former mayor of Taichung, presided over the opening of the annual event.
He pointed out that the exhibition has five major sections, including information on leisure activities, Korean delicacies, fine foods and food vendors, and tourism information about Taiwan and China. Organizers said the exhibition is intended to create more business opportunities for hotels, restaurants and other tourism-related industries.
More than 100 domestic and foreign exhibitors are taking part in the annual exhibition. Altogether they are operating 180 stalls promoting and selling services and products related to travel, leisure, and fine food.
Seven dance troupes will stage performances to entertain visitors through the four-day exhibition.
Visitors can bid for merchandise at auctions with bids starting from NT$1. The organizers will give away souvenirs everyday to the first 300 visitors who enter the show grounds.
