The 2010 Taipei International Horticultural Exposition will be held in the Yuanshan area at the commission of the Rome-based International Association of Horticultural Producers, Chen said.

The shuttle buses will allow visitors to get close to all the flower and plant exhibits at exposition venues in the area within a day, according to Chen. Exposition organizers plan to invite 20 countries to exhibit their distinctive horticultural species at the fair, Chen added.

A total of 15 pavilions will be set up, he went on, noting that indoor and outdoor competitions involving flowers and plants will be also sponsored alongside the fair.

The city government will earmark NT$5 billion (US$151.13 million) to finance the cost estimated at NT$5 billion, Chen added.
