Police probe nudist camp ‘obscenity’

Police said Wednesday they are investigating reports of obscene behavior, including public oral sex, at a nudist camp in Taitung.

The police were responding to a report in the Apple Daily Wednesday that visitors at the camp, including doctors, civil servants, computer engineers and servicemen, engaged in public oral sex and watched pornographic films together.

“We are looking into the behavior at the nudist camp to see whether obscenity was involved, or if there was a violation of social order laws,” said a police official.

The paper’s reporter, who visited the camp at the weekend, said she “lived in constant fear of being sexually violated.” One of the event’s organizers, Huang Chih-ching, told the paper no sexual activity took place at the camp.
