The figure sculptor spent about four hours measuring my whole body,” said Kwok. “Me and my figure look almost the same. I took photos of it and it surprised me that I could not tell it was only a wax figure when I looked at the pictures,” Kwok added. Standing next to Brad Pitt’s wax figure during the press conference, Kwok said, “Hi, Brad Pitt. It is good to see you here.” Kwok is in Taiwan not only for the exhibition. He is also promoting his film “After This Our Exile,” which will be featured on cable TV in Taiwan in August. “After This Our Exile” won him the Best Leading Actor award in the 2006 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival. “I hope the movie channel in Taiwan will air the longer version. The longer one contains more great scenes,” Kwok said. Kwok also revealed that he will hold concerts in Hong Kong soon. “I will have my solo concerts this November. After that, I am going to spend all of my time on making movies and preparing for a musical,” Kwow said. His fans might be disappointed because he said he would not have any more concerts, at least in the coming three years. The exhibition runs from 27 July to 12 August. It is the first time that people can see the wax figures from Madame Tussauds in Taiwan. |
