Li also warned motorists to expect heavy holiday traffic on highway 5 between Taipei and Ilan. Li said that for today, the southbound highway 5 from Taipei to Ilan will be congested from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the opposite direction. Motorists are urged to take the coastal highway between Taipei County and Ilan County. Meanwhile, the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) said yesterday that all seats for travel along the eastern and western lines have been sold out for today and Sunday, but that tickets are still available for tomorrow and Saturday. TRA said that it will consider putting the 24 newly purchased tilting trains into service to accommodate travelers over the holiday depending on passenger demand. TRA will add 218 more regular train services for the four-day holiday.
