Blood centers to resume operation

Blood centers throughout Taipei will resume operations, and the public is urged to donate blood as t

he total reserve of blood in the greater Taipei metropolitan area does not exceed three days' supply. Most scarce are AB, B, and A type blood.

Blood reserve totaled 4,900 bags, and the average safe estimate for a week's supply is between 10,000 and 16,000, according to Chen Chun-feng, director of the Taipei Blood Center.

Blood centers in Panchiao, Keelung, and Kuantu operated yesterday, and starting today, every blood center in Taipei will resume operations.
