Taipei-Kuala Lumpur route added by AirAsia

TAIPEI--Asia's largest budget airline AirAsia said it will increase its services between Taipei and Kuala Lumpur from 14 flights to 17 per week.

The airline said it was increasing flights due to a rise in Taiwanese tourists visiting Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur is the biggest city and capital of Malaysia, and Taiwan is one of the major sources of tourists to Malaysia, said Al Chen, head of the marketing department of AirAsia Taiwan.

On average, 200,000 Taiwanese tourists visit Malaysia each year.
